I had the chance to test newly released yarn Lang Dipinto<\/strong> and I was totally amazed by the colors. <\/p>\n

Lang Dipinto<\/strong> (unboxing here<\/a><\/strong>) is 100 grams\/3.53 ounces skein with 360 meters\/394 yards and it is 50% virgin wool and 50% manufactured fibers – acrylic, very soft, thin (fingering (14 wpi) and perfect for cardigans, slouchy hats, barrettes, ponchos or shawls for spring or fall.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I decided to try the shawl and let the colors make the magic. I used so called Turkish stitch and I started form the bottom pointed tip. I used hook number 5 in the video but the scarf and the pattern is calculated for the hook number 7. I changed it because the final effect of the scarf is ultimate softness. This scarf is made out of one skein but you can easily make it bigger just buy more than one skein and continue with the pattern. The final size of the shawl made out of one skein is 63 x 63 x 90 cm. I added strings and tassel in the bottom tips.<\/p>\n

This is rather fast project so it could be a fast present. So hurry up, let\u00b4s try.<\/p>\n

\nHook<\/strong>: 7 mm\u00a0<\/span>

US crochet terms:<\/strong><\/p>\n

MC – magic circle
\nCH \u2013 chain
\nSC \u2013 single crochet
\nDC \u2013 double crochet, from the third row insert the hook between the DC not in the loop
\nTR – treble crochet
\nHDC4 – four-time-yarn-over half double crochet
\nEach row starts with CH3 (instead of the first DC). The last DC in the row goes to the second loop of the CH3. Please count stitches!<\/p>\n

Please use hook 7 mm instead of the hook 5 as it is shown in video!<\/strong><\/p>\n

BODY of the shawl, Dipinto, hook 7 mm<\/strong>
\n1st row: MC, insert hook into MC, CH3 instead of the first DC (insert marker here), then CH2, 4 DC into MC, then CH2, TR into MC, tight MC, turn
\n2nd row: CH3 instead of the first DC, CH2, under the chain from the previous row 4 DC, CH1, 4 DC under the chain from the previous row, CH2, TR in to the third loop of the first stitch from the previous row (a marker is there), turn
\n3rd row: Check the video or the graphic chart under this article,<\/strong> CH3 instead of the first DC, CH2, 2 DC under the chain from the previous row, CH, a “v-stitch shape” made of 2 HDC4 (first insert hook under the chain from the previous row where 2 DC already are then yarn over and insert your hook under the following chain from the next row and make the second HDC4 here, yarn over and crochet all loops together) CH1, 2 DC, CH1, “v-stitch shape” made of 2 HDC4, CH, 2 DC under the last chain from the first row, CH2, finish with TR in to the third loop from the first stitch from the previous row, turn
\n4. CH3 instead of the first DC, CH2, 4 DC under the chain from the previous row, CH, into the joining loop of HDC4 from the previous row make 4 DC, CH, into the following joining loop of HDC4 make another 4 DC, CH, 4 DC under the chain, CH2, TR into the third loop from the first stitch from the previous row, turn
\n5. CH3 instead of the first DC, CH2, 2 DC under the chain from the previous row, CH, a “v-stitch shape”from 2 HDC4, CH, 2 DC, CH, “v-stitch shape”, CH, 2 DC, CH, “v-stitch shape”\u00a0 2 HDC4, CH, 2 DC, CH, “v-stitch shape”\u00a0 2 HDC4, CH, 2 DC, CH2, TR into the third loop from the first stitch from the previous row, turn
\n6th – 30th row: repeat the row 4 and 5, finish with the row you swap 4 DC into joining loop and CH, do not finish off but continue with the brim<\/p>\n

BRIM of the shawl, Dipinto, hook 7 mm<\/strong>
\n1. row: CH3 instead of the first DC, into the same loop another 6 DC (a shell made of 7 DC is always placed into corners\/tips), then continue with short part of the shawl and make SC, then make 5 DC and swap it with 1 SC, but crochet in the joining loops not under the chain, check the graphic diagram).<\/p>\n

Tassel<\/strong>
\nCut 10-20 same-lenght piece of yarn and attach it with the knot to the tip of the shawl (picture how to make in is under this article)<\/p>\n

String<\/strong>
\nCut 7-10 same-length piece of yarn, fold it in half, attach it to the tip corner and braid it. Repeat on the other side.<\/p>\n

That it is!<\/strong> Weave your ends and add some embellishment to your shawl.<\/p>\n
