I had a particular beanie on my mind and it did not let me fall asleep for another hour or so. Unfortunately I was quite busy over the weekend so the crocheting project had to wait till Sunday evening. And there it is. Someone told me that this combination reminds her of something sweet and delicious. I can see Kinder Penguin bar. But I love this hat so I made a matching mittens and booties. And there comes the free pattern for you.<\/p>\n

Turn back. The seam is on the side of the hat not in the back. \nEach row starts with either 1 CH = Single Crochet or 2 CH = Double Crochet and ends with SlSt.<\/p>\n
\n1st row: 8 CH, turn
\n2nd row: count four CH from the beginning (these are for following four DC), make first DC into 5th CH (the rest CH is the sixth DC), altogether 6 DC (substitution included), turn
\n3rd row: BP DC (6), turn (this one is the hardest one, the others are piece of cake)
\n4th row: FP DC (6), turn
\n5th – 25th row: repeat BP DC one row and FP DC second row. Fold the ribbings into half (the ribbed pattern inside) and make slipstiches to join the ends. Turn with the ribbing out and pull the yarn through the ribbing. Continue with the same yarn.
\nWhite (since now on use hook 6)<\/strong>
\n1st row: make 2CH = substitution for the first DS, make one DC into first space in the ribbing, make 2 DC into following one. Repeat. SlSt (37 DC)

\n2nd row: DC into each DC from previous row, but every 5th and 6th together as one DC, repeat, SlSt (31 DC)
\n3rd row: DC into each DC from previous row, SlSt (31 DC)

\nTake white yarn and needle. Make crosses in the first brown stripe (here in between 4th and 5th DC). Then with a back stitch make the middle part of star. Sew\/make pompoms to the hat and sew the button.<\/p>\n
